Honey Sweetened Lemon Orangeade

Print

Photo above: Bottled Lemon Orangeade (oranges missing from photo)

Most store bought juices use pasteurized fruit juices, cheap refined sweeteners and other additives. This drink is made with freshly squeezed oranges and lemons. Then raw local honey is added along with non-chlorinated water.

Recipe:

1/4 cup raw honey

1 cups of filtered water, heated to 100 degrees F.

Juice of 2 oranges

Juice of 2 lemons

3 more cups of cold filtered water

Mix honey and warm water to dissolve honey. Add juice from fruit and then add the rest of the water. Pour into a glass full of ice on a hot summer day.

Note: I always encourage everyone to use as much local, grown without chemicals ingredients (organic), and meat, eggs and dairy from animals that were/are free-ranging and were/are raised without hormones and antibiotics. Seafood should be wild from unpolluted waters.

Looks refreshing!  I have a honey jar just like yours. It's a great way to sweeten a fresh drink.
