Homemade Gifts From Your Kitchen
There is special about homemade gifts and it's even more special when they are edible! All these recipes have been adapted to incorporate whole natural ingredients. I have been giving gifts from my kitchen for many years and wanted to share with you some of my favorites.Sweet Popcorn
For recipe: Sweet nut popcorn ****************************** Gingerbread People
For recipe: Gingerbread cookies Everyone loves a plate full of cookies! These ginger bread people are made with natural sweeteners, sprouted whole grain flour and the icing is sweetened with honey and colored with natural dyes. I try to find some festive plates and then give the plate as part of the gift. ************************************** Homemade Eggnog
For recipe: Homemade Eggnog This Eggnog can be placed in a nice glass jar. Just wrap a bow around the neck of the jar with a tag attached. I sometimes include an envelope with the recipe inside. ************************************ Basil Pesto
For recipe: Basil Pesto Place the pesto in small glass jars and top with some colorful cloth that has been cut out in circles and tie with a ribbon. sometimes I attach a card listing all the ways to use pesto. I like to use it as a dip, to spread on sandwiches, pizza topping, or in pasta as a sauce. ************************************* Sauerkraut
For recipe: Simple Sauerkraut Just add a bow to the jar and it's ready to give. You can even include this great book on Fermentation. ********************************* This recipe was shared on Food Renegade, The Healthy Home Economist's, The Nourishing Gourmet, Traditional Tuesdays, Hearth and Soul Hop, Simply Sugar and Gluten Free, Kelly the Kitchen Kop, Gluten Free Homemaker blogs.
